Video 1: An Introduction to Clearing
A gentle place to begin
You are about to watch the first video in a five part series with Eric Dowsett. This video introduces the foundations of clearing and sets the tone for everything that follows. There is nothing you need to understand straight away and nothing you need to do perfectly.
Simply watch, listen and notice.
This video is best watched quietly, without analysing or taking notes.
Allow yourself to listen and notice how your body responds.
Before You Watch
This is not a talk to study or memorise.
Eric’s work is based on awareness rather than effort.
The most helpful approach is to listen without trying to work anything out.
You may notice thoughts, feelings or physical sensations as you watch.
There is no need to judge them or change them.
Just notice.
What This Video Explores
In this first video, Eric speaks about:
• What clearing is and how it developed
• How awareness alone can begin to reduce pressure in a system
• Why forcing change is not required for something to soften
• How simply noticing can be enough to begin
Many people find that this video helps them feel more settled or curious, even if they cannot yet explain why.
That is completely normal.
A Gentle Reflection
After watching the video, you might like to take a moment to notice:
• Did anything feel familiar
• Did anything feel new
• Did your body respond in any way while listening
There is no right or wrong answer.
This is simply an invitation to notice.
What Happens Next
You will receive Video 2 by email, which builds gently on what you have just watched.
The next video explores how feelings arise and why they may not be as personal as they often seem.
There is nothing you need to prepare in advance.
Simply allow this first video to settle in its own time.
If You Cannot Watch Right Now
That is completely fine.
You can return to this page at any time using the link in your email.
The videos are here for you to access when it suits you.
Take Your Time
This series is not something to rush.
Many people find that watching the videos slowly, with space between them, allows the work to unfold more naturally.
